Just browsing the free-ads for a potential new bike and I came across this ad.

In my humble opinion showing yourself doing a burn out on the bike in question is not the best way to sell it!

On that note does anyone else know any free-ad websites to give me a wide scope.

It's not a good idea, i wouldn't buy a bike when its advertised with a pic like that. It gives you the impression that its been thrashed. I saw one advertised on ebay some time ago and the seller had a link to a video clip with him on the bike doing various stunts and revving the muts nuts out of it, he had no bids Rolling Eyes .

My rd obviously hadn't been thrashed. 'I don't really get the chance to get into the powerband around here'. The powerband in first was at around 30. It wasn't running too great, but after a bit of thrashing went a lot better.

To be honest someone advertising a 750 with a 150cc big bore giving a claimed 150hp isn't likely to be trying to sell to people that want a pristine shiny bike.
To some degree I'd prefer to buy a bike that has been thrashed, then you know it's tried and tested as such. Also the owner is more likely to have had to do regular maintenance.

Guess thats true, like putting 18" alloys on a b reg Nova - targeting the audience.

No mention of new tyres though, could imagine the ad - "recently changed only 500 miles of rolling burn outs"

I reckon its great!! Very Happy Very funny indeed. Theres always someone out there that'll it appeal to 100%.

I want more ads like that in bike trader.
