Apologies first of all if this has already been posted, had a look but couldn't see it.

Decided to venture out last night for a spin, first time in the dark, and due to living in the country the roads tend to be a tad dark Confused Anyway, I noticed that the headlight on the YBR125 is absolutely appalling.. I'd have been better off strapping a torch to my handlebars..!!

Have checked the bulb etc and all is fine.. Alignment seems OK (bike passed its MOT 2weeks ago)

Is there any fixes I can do to improve the lighting..? Or is it just a case that the YBR has crap lighting..?

TIA
Trev

This is something ive been looking around for as just got myself a 2006 ybr and come across the same problem,on back roads full beam really doesnt seem to be of any use at all. It seems the best thing to do is mod the light for a H4 bulb if it doesn't have one already and get a higher wattage bulb, From what i read 2010 on wards have the h4 bulb as standard.

when I had my YBR, i went to halfords and bought a £5 headlight bulb, not sure which one, you'll have to check fittings etc, but instantly had double the vision I had before, it was actually better than the Bandit!

The 2005 and 2007 YBR's use the BOSCH fitting, not sure about the 2010+ one. But this bulb is a really good replacement for the globe shape OEM one:

Regarding the above, I currently have a 35w/35w bulb in the light (https://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_storeId_10001_catalogId_10151_productId_263703_langId_-1_categoryId_246903 I think).

Will the link you posted be a better bulb or just the same..? (Apologies for the noob question)
