Hi all,

Me and the girlfriend have been working in boring office jobs for the last ten years now, (me in IT and the other half in accounts) and have decided a change of life was in need.

We have quit our well paid but boring jobs, sold our house in London and bought a big house in the French countryside with all our life savings.

https://i39.photobucket.com/albums/e172/mrteee/A55CE04054D44DC88635DC8BD06AB60E.jpg

We plan to convert the house so we can offer accomadation for bikers and offer tours out on the twisties and maybe even green laning tours eventually.

I have set up a blog to show the progress of our project, there is a lot to be done including major building work that involves converting the huge loft into a clubroom for a group of bikers, ensuite bathrooms to be installed and a lot more.

IF you are interested here is the link to the blog:

We are in the Creuse, just outside the town La Souterraine.

This area is meant to be the off road capital of France, we have been out walking the dog near our house and come across green lanes all over the place Smile

And our bank manager here told us his son races enduro and gave us a huge list of all the enduros in the area that take place.

A big change from London where I had to ride up the motorway for an hour on my XR250 to get to the nearest lanes.

We have a house on The other side of Limoges, La Rochefoucaulde.

If you fancy a jaunt to explore, head over and visit Café Le Coq d'Or in La Rochefoucauld (8 Place St Florentine).

The owner, Bruno, has a TDM and is a top bloke.

Ride out lengths will be a full day with a stop for lunch in the middle. We are looking at maybe doing long weekend packages and 1 week deals or whatever is demanded.

Prices aren't set in stone yet, but will be roughly 55 euros for a double room/twin with ensuite, 30 euros for a bed in the club room, (all with brekkie inclusive) a four course meal (if desired) including wine will be approx 20 euros.

The ride out costs would depend on numbers, we will have a website up and running in the next couple of months which we are working on currently.

We are thinking of giving a discount for BCF regulars aswell Cool

Very interested in this. Be sure to let us know when you are up and running. You could even start taking e mail and names of interested people now and keeping a database. Give everyone who has shown interest an e mail when you are open.

Good luck and fingers crossed for you both.

When are you aimming to have the first room sorted? The misses and I are planning on doing france, over to poland, down to italy and back through france last week in June, I suspect you're a bit too far into France for us to include in the route but if you have a room sorted by then let us know and i'll have a look when we're sorting out maps e.t.c!

I guess there is no chance a room will be ready the first week of June? I'm in France then.
