Evening Workshoppers.

As most of us know the differences between the RVF and the Viffer are slight but usually enough to prevent compatibility on most parts.

The main problem is that 2nd hand parts for RVFs are quite rare whereas they are a plenty for the VFR.

I have blagged an NC30 seat for a tenner which can be made to fit with the simple adapter plate cobbled out of a thin steel plate.

I also have a fan on the way which will fit the RVF rad with a little work on the mounting shroud.

My fuel tank is still shagged and full of dirt. I've managed to get a huge amount of crap out with hot water, dishwasher tablets and lots of compressed air but I can still hear it swilling about.

NC35 tank on eBay? Not a fucking chance, and I'm not paying Honda £800 for a new one.

So my question is... will a VFR tank fit? It looks the same (sorta) but not having a tank to look at I can't guess if it will fit right.

Not too fussed about the breather hose being in the wrong place... I've converted the bike to run gravity feed and has the DIY airbox mod which draws air in from under the frame rather than through the ponce tubes.

Not too fussed about aesthetics... my bike is going for the abused look and I as I am a trackday n00b I might have it going sideways in the near future.

Cheers Dears
Thumbs Up
