i have a drain on my battery does anyone know how i would find the cause of this ? the bike is a 1991 zzr400. its a brand new battery as I thought the winter might have killed the old one but when I charge it and leave it for a day it wont start

You could try pulling all the fuses and seeing which of them has a voltage across it with the ignition turned off. Might not find the problem but it can help eliminate certain parts.

If it has an alarm, suspect that first.

Alarmed drain or batt dead cells ... Did it drop voltage over winter and how much ... Etc etc

thanks i will check the fuses as suggested, it doesnt have an alarm.
yes the bike was neglected over the winter unfortunately as i moved away. Im rebuilding it as a project as it was crashed, almost finished now just need to sort this battery issue which is a right pain because i know very little about electrics!
