A new front tyre, a Michelin Power Pure so good it even has its own website.

https://www.michelinpowerpure.com/en/

Skills++ Someone write and tell me how good these tyres are because I am now expectant of a fully fledged knee down. Knee down or death. *cough* Not this week obviously, when the rain stops. *cough*

Shame back end is a BT23.

Took me like an hour to get the wheel off. Was a right fuck on, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm bolts... think the designer was a mechano enthusiast. Can I get a CSB?

I tried a set of power pures on my R1, were pretty decent, but considering how fast they wore out compared to the Pilot Road 2, i went back to the "sports touring" rubber.

Mind you with the power pures i was doing laps of a pair of local roundabouts and coming off one managed to lay down a proper blackie/skid mark on the power which i was quite proud of, it did let go in a controlled way... Thumbs Up

I've got them on my ninja. I think they're shit compared to the pilot powers I had before, and I'll be going back to them when these ones run out.

Better in the wet than in the dry is not what I look for in a tyre.

Not as good as the Powers.

I was confused by the naming conventions to be honest. Someone said in a previous thread, "pilot roads not as good as the 2ct's." Uhhh, which 2cts?

You can get a Pilot Road, a Pilot Road 2 a Pilot Road 3, and also for each generation, a Pilot Road x 2ct!

You can also get a Pilot Power and a Pilot Power 2ct.

There seems to only be one Power Pure, even though the divvies on MCN refer to it incorrectly as a Pilot Pure. Confusing as hell when all you want is some new rubber.

So I thought to hell with it, it was only £10 more than the Pilot Power 2cts and has the same technology and as good or better than Corsa 3s. Sold.

my cbr came with a brand new set of pilot power 2ct's, i was expecting them to be amazing given all the good reviews they get, but personally, i dont think they feel as planted as diablo corsa's(my usual tyre). They seem to take a lot longer to warm up aswell
