oil light and stalling

Hi,
Bike in question is a 1981 cb400 twin.
On my way to work today bike stalled and refused to start for 5 minutes then fired up. 500 yards later stalled again. I realized that the oil light was on. Checked the oil, all good. Good back pressure at exhaust when I crancked it as well. 15 minutes later fired up and off I go to work. 14 miles.
last oil change was in summer but I only covered 1.5k since.

What could he the problem?

fuel, ign, rag under seat????

some pics would be good.

oil light, did the oil light come on when the engine was running??
