A mate had to leave his 2010 BMW GS R1200 for 14 months while overseas and he's just asked me if I could go and start it, check it over and then take it down to the boat where it'll be shipped out to him.
I went down today, checked for obvious leaks, etc and everything looked fine, started first time without a problem, so i left it running for 5 minutes to make sure everything was lubricated and all gauges worked etc. Everything fine except 'Brake Failure' warning light on permanently. It's got only 263 miles on it.
I ran the bike around the drive a bit and brakes seem fine, no leaks, nothing snatching, jamming, graunching, nothing seems wrong at all.
Any ideas?
