Luke,

how are you doing that?

My six won't do it, front end goes light but doesnt come up, however I am yet to cane it properly, is it from a standstill?

Cheers
Cougs

The R6 should come up okay off the power in first as standard.
Just dip the throttle and snap it on. Probably start at about mid revs and move it around until you get best results.

Personaly I'd reccomend trying to clutch it up... which it can definitely do Smile.

It will power up in 1st.

I was first trying to ride along at about 10,000 rpm, shut the throttle off and then wack it back on.

That gets the wheel up slightly but it's really not a good way of doing it.

The R6 WILL wheelie off the power from lower revs

I'm no expert, I've only done like 2 good wheelies and only really tried about 6/7 times now but this is what seems to be working for me is...

Ride along at about 30 mph and hold the speed constant, blip the throttle straight ON and the front just lifts easily.

Don't dip the throttle as in shut it off, just hit it straight on. Seems to be working for me but like I say, I'm not even OK let alone an expert, just trying to learn to wheelie and find that has given best results!

The majority of the time blipping the throttle then pulling it on will be better. This not only means the engine is working better but that the suspension is working to help you wheelie as well.

You just need to keep doing it... just try doing little ones on the way to work etc, maybe initially starting at fairly high revs, then as you get used to the technique you'll find that you can bring the revs down.
Another thing to consider is to make sure you are pulling the throttle on fully... maybe even start with your hand further forward around the throttle grip so that your wrist is kind of pointing in the air. This way you are sure you will make full use of the revs.
I realised on my zx6 and one point that I wasn't able to hold the wheelies up well because I was running out of power.. not because I was at the redline, but because my wrist wasn't going far enough down. I often use this technique for 'drag' starts on quick bikes as well.
