Personally, I've never found waterproofs much of an issue riding a faired bike on track - as most is directed around you.

I'd rather hope they'll explain what needs to be done to stay upright.

As it's their own bikes, I'd hope they have wets, but they may well not.

Basic advice -keep your braking to while you're upright (you'd probably be ding this in the dry anyway, good trail braking is a reasonably 'advanced' skill.)
Keep smooth and don't get on the gas hard until you're upright (though, on a CBR250, this probably isn't much of an issue either - as it's peak power isn't far off what a lot of big bikes will do a smidge above idle Smile ).

I did a race school at Cadwell years ago on 400 Yamahas. It was p*ssing down with rain but we went out regardless. It was a hoot!!! I remember a couple of 'offs' during the day but nobody got hurt. My closest was coming into the hairpin when I used too much back brake and my back wheel overtook my front...

As the man said, get all your braking done in a straight line and remember, you can brake harder going uphill...

nah they'll most likely be on their primary tyre. BT023s.

still plenty of grip Smile

the thing about the rain is.. be smooth. they'll go through it all with you on the day. RH is basically for people who want to start riding on track so they take it pretty easy anyway 1st off then adjust to your ability and go from there.

was a bit of a waste of money for me (i did a premier course) unfortunately as i didnt realise this went i went and other than being told 'yup, you're doing it right' i didnt get a lot out of the day. for someone who hasnt been on track before and wants to start it'll be a good day and you'll get a lot out of it Smile

instructors are nice and friendly too, dont be afraid to ask any questions, even silly ones Wink

have fun

Well, just as I expected, it poured down with rain & thought they would have cancelled & re scheduled, but nope, they gave it the go ahead! I was a little nervous, like I said i wasnt that confident riding in the rain, but out on the track, theres alot more grip than i thought.
Had an instructor to myself, which was nice! & he was a top bloke, explained things well before we went out there. Did a steady lap to learn the track then booted it! We were passing all the blokes on the 500's easy! Did half a session, pulled into pits & instructor said I was doing really well, just explained body position a bit more & off out we went for 2nd half. Finished session & instructor said I was the best he'd ever taken on track Mr. Green Despite it tipping down, & hands froze to death, I had a cracking time & Ron Haslam signed me a birthday card! The bike was superb aswell, i was actually a little disappointed getting on my 125 this morning just dying for it to go faster Mr. Green
Next year, ill definatley do the 600 for sure!
Heres my pics the school took, waiting on some more from my dad aswell

good on yer!

i lucked out with mine and had a beautifully dry day.. looks the polar opposite for you but good going for still getting on with it. wet track riding isnt the most pleasant but it certainly teaches you just how much grip you have to play with.. usually a lot more than you think as long as you're smooth Smile

glad you had a good day despite the moist weather
