I'm amazed at how many good reviews his book gets on Amazon... I am not worried about the moon... but I am now worried about all the nutters out there that genuinely believe this crap.

I don't need to watch 3 hours of footage, there are plenty of shorter youtube clips that cut to the chase. The moon was a manmade object and somehow this links with gravity, the world being flat and... oh fuck off you twat!!

I think he's entitled to his opinion, but I don't see any reason to take an interest in theories that are demonstrably false.

Learning about historical falsehood is interesting and leads us into modern understanding - it's useful to know Newtonian mechanics for example, it gives you a sense of how we used to understand the world and to an extent still allows you to make predictions.

But there is no sense in entertaining theories like the world being flat (from a modern point of view). Fly in a plane and look at the curvature. Or just walk (slash sail) around it. If you don't believe the images on Google Earth, you can send up a balloon with a camera attached to it, it's fairly trivial to disprove the flat earth theory nowadays.

The moon being a spaceship is on par with us living inside the Matrix. An individual (given that there is no concept of 'trust' in science) has roughly the same power to disprove either of them - that is, essentially zero. To me, if something cannot be known, then there is no sense in guessing.

The problem with most self confessed 'conspiracy theorists' I've heard is that they generally lump in the outrageous with the plausible. The world being ruled by an 'evil cabal'? Well, in the sense that the world (specifically Western) powers rule, sure. Perhaps even a level above that, if you really want to stretch it. But then, would there be any meaningful gain from finding out who 'rules' anyway? Any world rule is from a long enough distance as to essentially have no bearing on day to day life.

I didnt bother. Someone handed me a David Icke book once about how we are all prisoners of our own guilt and what not. Granted the book started off as entertaining and thought provoking but it soon turned into a drivvel about how we should rise up against the system and stop being robots.

Further research on the strange man shows he believes he is latest jehovah in human form. yadda yadda.

To summersize this man talks shite. His ideas, while thought provoking, are shite and when ever I hear any of his idea's I tend to yawn and fall asleep.
