Been thinking and does anyone else think it's a good idea to make a sticky thread of general tips for your first time on a new track?

Did my first track day 2 weeks ago and asked for tips for Mallory Park and got loads of good responses (thanks to those who responded), doing Rockingham this Sunday but don't want to make a new thread every time I do a new track.

What does everyone think about this? Thinking just general tips, things to look out for, best lines to take for corners if it's not a usual one and places to be careful (high side hot spots ect).

Much Karma would be awarded to someone who is willing to start this off?

Defiately a good idea, i could do a couple for pembrey and mallory but wouldnt want to do it for other tracks as im not really fast enough.

It would definately help the trackday section grow but it would face alot of opinionated comments

Yeah I could see that happening, I think the tips should be very general and not about something that is specific to bike or rider. No one can complain at being offered advice and tips though, you take away what you think applies to you and leave anything you don’t agree with.

A useful tip would even be how to get to the pit lanes for each track, when my mate and I showed up at Mallory Park we had no idea! Laughing Luckily there was a marshal in his van who let us follow him or we would have been sat in the car park for ages!

Old Thread Alert!
