Star rewards are better

500 litres = 500 points = £5

Nectar is 500 litres = 500 points = £2.50 spend in most places

take all you can get from Shell Club Thumbs Up and any other point or mile giving card. It's better in your pocket than theirs, even if it is just a little bit. It all mounts up at the end of the day, week, month. Very Happy

If you can be bothered, get all the cards.
99% of the time using the station nearest to you at the time will be cheapest unless it's a motorway one.

12p gets you about a mile on a 50mpg bike.

I use the shell one near me as it's almost always the cheapest. Plus I'd rather use an oil majors petrol than supermarket stuff so it pays for me, even if it's only a few pence back.

Nothing wrong with the shell card, just saying chasing about for stations is daft, nearly always using the closest one will be cheapest (unless you're going past it anyway).

I'm currently sitting about 7 miles from the nearest Shell station, but one mile from a Total and ASDA. Would cost about £1.30 to go to the Shell station and back.

For you of course it makes sense.
