Joined a few MC groups over the past month and with ride outs with groups. At first a little confused to avoidance of people talked to at the ride and groups. Apparently im held in the opinion of being a hells angel in a few of the groups. One person said it to me directly but thought was joking about, having a laugh. The whole thing is that I am a hells angel touring groups to make sure they are nothing but legitimate riding groups. People have seen me at H/A rally groups?? lol but then again though untrue if they had wont they have been there too.

I think its down to people not being used to goth clothing and riding a bike. People seem to react to some clothes more than others. Its funny though people think that and believe it.

Nah it's just that goths are renowned for being dour miserable buggers with a taste for poetry (about death) and
'dancing' waving their arms about in a mystical way.

Source- Been a metalhead for nearly 30 years and have witnessed many a Goth doing Goth stuff.

This is why it's important to know the different between an MC and an MCC.

A lot of people apply the term generically.

If you are a certain-looking type of biker, or you ride a certain kind of bike, then that is the label you often get tagged with by the ignorant general public (even I've been asked if I am one, wtf )

OBVIOUSLY there's quite a difference between what people think are Hells Angels, and the real thing.

A more realistic term would be a 1%er, which has traditionally been applied to the easily-recognisable and very specific genre of biker you are insinuating - until recently, when the general public has taken that expression to mean "incomparably rich people/industrialists/oligarchs".

But whether you have the mindset/fortitude to be a true 1%er may be doubtful as well (especially if you're gothy Laughing )

Not quite ... is more like (if one is interested in such matters) why it's important to know of the evolution and history of motorcycle clubs.

From what I can understand of it (with very little punctuation and atrocious grammar/syntax):

* Goth joins some forums/attends ride-outs
* People avoid him because of the way he looks
* Turns out they think he is a HA, who is going round different biking groups to suss out what they are doing.
* OP appears to say that he is also suspected of going to HA rallies (nothing intrinsically wrong with that if you're of a mind to: HA's beer is no better or worse than anybody else's Laughing ) - but OP then goes on to wonder what the big deal would be about that, as if he had been seen at such events, then the people who saw him would also have had to be there, so what's the biggie.

See, OP, when you say you joined "a few MC groups", do you mean
Arrow "I joined some forums to do with motorcycling" (i.e., MC for short)
or do you mean :
Arrow "I joined some forums organised by 1% motorcycle clubs for supporters of their club"

Cos there's quite a big difference, and the behaviour amongst the latter type would be more likely to be suspicious of newcomers.

Sometimes, it turns out not to be so funny when people believe the wrong thing.

The concept of Chinese Whispers is pretty much known in all societies, but a lot of the fear/mistrust is caused by rumours which very few people have the bollocks to clarify with plain speaking or straight out questioning.

People imagine some strange things, so a LOT of suspicion/assumption/conjecture occurs, especially surrounding newcomers.

In my time, I've been told I was suspected of being a spy, on two separate occasions (little old me? Laughing )

The first lot, when I first bought a bike and got into biking, thought I was a girlfriend sent from another club (nearly 20 years later I still have no idea which) to spy on them, when in fact it was just that I am too socially inept/shy to talk to people, so just used to ride my bike to a local pub where I saw bikers hang out, and sat on my own with a drink until some girls eventually (after several months) came to chat with me whilst the blokes were upstairs at their meeting.

The second lot, several years later, had heard - from another girl - that I was occasionally dating a fairly controversial person and they thought I had come to spy on them for him Rolling Eyes

Neither of the above was true, but in the first instance I was still too shy to talk to people in that scene (now, not so much Laughing ) - and in the second, nobody would come to me and ask me about my association with the person they were concerned about, "in case it got back to him".

So in both cases, I did not know about any of this until several years down the line, when someone with whom I was (by that time) friendlier, said, "Oh yeah, they thought you were a spy."

Coulda just asked me: I would have put 'em straight.

So yeah, twats abound.

This sort of thing makes me despair of the human race......

- The Hells Angels are not interested in me/you/them

- The CIA is not interested in me/you/them

- GCHQ is not interested in me/you/them

- Nobody is interested in me/you/them

You may get the odd nosy fucker looking at your Twitface page but that is generally some schadenfreude little shite hoping something has gone wrong and that you are stupid enough to put it on your Twitface page.

The rise of Social Media and the celebrity culture seem to have created the delusion in a lot of people that them posting pictures of their dinner on Twitface is somehow important and interesting

I'm also a tad confused by the original message, but from what I can tell you do things (and possibly wear things) associated with a criminal gang, then are confused why people associate you with said criminal gang?

I thought that was the whole point of all the 'HOG' stuff and so on?

Yeah but see, this is what happens:
"Because intrigue", people like to make something out of nothing.

One might expect to be able to toddle along through life on a happy little happycloud of self-absorption: "I'm hungry, I'm skint, I'm horny" being the main drivers of your actions.

But some idiots with nothing-better-to-do draw conclusions which are usually at complete variance with the naive level of functionality at which one's own single brain cell is actually operating.

Thus, somehow applying a much higher level of importance to one's essentially meaningless little life.

You'd get shot for less in certain places in America for wearing the wrong colours.

If you act like you're in a biker gang, go to the right places, people will more than likely think you are in a gang.

Whether you are or not, is another thing entirely.

Sorry for any confusion as to what was meant by the OP. I have joined a fair few motorcycle clubs (MC) lately hoping to find ones that dont just sit around drinking but ride in groups, However alot of them just sit and sip tea. I am actually meant to be out tonight with one but decided CBA to sit about.

I have no idea what was imagined to happen if not a legitimate biker club who knows, no one explained that part to me lol. People just have distorted views on things and move toward popular labels like HA. To be honest I don't like harley's had one for a short while they are nice don't get me wrong but was alot to keep, sport /supersport is where my love is.

I have alot of clothes with reapers, hell imagery, death, seduction etc. People get funny idea's sometimes, human nature. For instance my ride out today consisted of
