Spent a good 4 hours out on the road on a little KLX 125 in some pretty shitty weather today. I'm sure I saw hailstones bouncing off my arms at one point.
I thought I'd be out on a bigger bike but it turned out to be out of action when I got there.
Still, it was great fun and the gear I'd bought beforehand performed really well.
I stayed nice and dry except for the boots that I thought would be ok, weren't. Proper boots next. Laughing
So now I have an aching backside, damp socks but most important of all a nice shiny certificate. Dance!

Good man. It really is that case that there's no such thing as bad weather, just inadequate gear.

I mean, except for deep snow, and black ice. Then you gunna die. Very Happy

Cheers chaps. Thumbs Up

We took two breaks during the road section which happened to be at two motorcycle dealers.
I think my instructor was trying to tell me to get my finger out and get a bike. Embarassed

I also had my CBT today. Pouring rain and fog so bad I could barely see my hand if I held it in front of my face. Had one slip off in the yard in the morning and one near miss in the afternoon out on the road otherwise, apart from constantly forgetting to turn off my indicators (or do proper observations) I think it went quite well.

I now need to buy a bike and practice, practice, practice...we need to get our licences before the end of the year guys!

Anyway well done mate.

And well done to you.
My instructor also had to remind me a few times to cancel my indicators but my obs went ok but then I've been driving a long while and I'm already in the habit of checking my blind spots.

I know what you mean about needing to buy a bike and there's a little something I have my eye on already. Wink

Good luck on Sunday, McfcChris94. Thumbs Up

In a car its so obvious when the indicators are on, on a little YBR in the rain and fog (especially when water clutters up the lights) it's hard to notice that the little light is still flashing Mad The concept of cancelling indicators is largely alien to me.

Not trying to belay the fault, as it is entirely mine obviously. Just something I have to work on.

Got my eyes on a YBR of my own Smile

I'll stop hijacking your thread and talking about myself now.

Not at all fella. We're in the same boat after all and trying to correct the same faults.

Good luck with the YBR. Wink
