Time to start the learning. I can take things apart well enough, it's the getting them back together I need to learn.

It's a Cat B, so probably won't be going back on the road Sad . Will use it to learn how everything fits together, then probably sell off the parts.

I did do a bit of haggling as it being a Cat B wasn't mentioned in the auction, got it for less than the end price Very Happy .

I haven't seen a non-chinese 125 that's MOT'able go for much less than £600/£700 at the moment Crying or Very sad

I set my own budget level at £100, as that's what I thought I could get back by selling the parts. I know myself a bit too well, if I'd bought a running bike for £200 or so, then I'd probably be tempted to throw a pile more money at it to get it fully restored.

I could do, if I swapped the frame for a on scrapped one Wink , but for now I'm happy just to play around with it.

And now stripped a bit further

https://www.dogfriendlysuffolk.com/bikepics/IMG-20120511-00033.jpg

Talk about multi-coloured swap shop, some of the wires change colour 6 times Crying or Very sad Looks like I'll be re-wiring half of the loom.

Other this knackered include; Brake pedal, no front end including the ignition. Did manage to turn the engine over, and no knocks so that's something Very Happy

I reckon you should keep the bars where they are and move the footrests for the world's first GS with the lay down riding position. It will improve aerodynamics a hell of a lot.
