As I have mentioned in other threads, I have been having problems with my bike 'conking out' and keep finding the spark plug has been wrecked.
Kickstart, you mentioned that having the choke out ruins spark plugs quite quickly if you leave it out. Well I think this may be the problem -
I took the carb apart today and gave it a thorough clean, when about to replace it I noticed the seal on the choke was not fitted properly, probably letting air in which would act as if the choke was out anyway.
I thought it was strange as the bike would start up on cold mornings with the choke in, and plugs failing on me, when they are removed they aren't really covered in petrol/oil either.
So could this seal be the reason why my plugs have been failing?
Thanks for everyones help with probs i've had, really appreciated
Cheers,
