My left arm/shoulder hurts like fuck to raise to a point, high enough to change gear in a car for instance. Shock type pain that spreads with an ache to my elbow. My finger tips keep getting a numb/pins and needles feeling too.

Diagnose please.

No knocks that I know of and doesn't hurt to touch.

Trapped nerve or similar.

Does it hurt/ache at rest or just when you move it ?

Does it only hurt when you move it forwards or is it in when you move in in any direction ?

Hurts to raise, with the arm pointed in any direction, dull ache at times when doing nothing and hurts in the hand too.

Is it aids?

Nerve damage, have you used that arm to masturbate with recently for " a bit of a change"?

I'm afraid so, and not the good type. I prescribe that you stop bumming monkeys...

How long have you had the pain, did it appear suddenly during movement or did you wake up with it ?

The pins and needles and shooting pains in a stereotypical pattern definitely sounds nerve related added to it being aggravated by movement sounds like something is compressing or tickling the nerve (ulnar, radial or median you can tell depending which fingers you get pins and needles in).

EDIT:

You need an anti inflammatory like diclofenac sodium or ibuprofen to take the pressure off the nerve and lay off the press-ups.

I am very much in favour of going into the kind of pub frequented by old blokes and scrounging pills off them, a lot cheaper than the chemist.

Given the flexion in the elbow when doing that sort of exercise I'd hazard a guess along these lines - CLICKY.

I get the same problem at times.

Alternatively it may just be an imminent heart attack Thumbs Up
