Another demonstration has been announced, ride locations are yet to be confirmed though:

https://www.facebook.com/pages/EU-Hands-Off-Biking-A-Motorcycle-Action-Group-Campaign/265550043541800

Should be a laugh, even if you don't care about not being allowed to modify your bike any more.

Cheers. Hmm, this again:

Will "we" inded? AFAIK, most (all?) rides degenerated into a rolling roadblock last time.

I don't see any acknowledgement of that, or any plans for dealing with it this time.

It'll be interesting to see whether and how that issue is addressed. Since it's not front-and-centre from the get go, I expect that it won't be, and Blocky McSplintergroup will kick off again on the day.

Yeah, I don't know how they're going to enforce that. I think they might just be paying the idea lip service ...

Much as I'd like to go on the demo I can't as I've got BSB tickets for that day. I've asked MAG Scotland to change the date, but I'm not getting my hopes up. Wink

If nothing else it was a fun ride-out last time so I'll probably head down to the Porkys' Diner meet on the Southend Road. They reckon the politicians noticed even if the press didn't, so it's better than doing nothing and whinging after the event.

This is a bad day for another protest ride as it is also armed forces day and I and a lot of other bikers will be doing charity rides in aid of the forces, who on earth arranged this date Thumbs Down

Nearest one to me is bloody Taunton!
A good 140 miles away. Shocked

Hope they introduce more demo locations.

Typical Cornwall always left out of everything. Sad

Can't say what I'll be riding, hopefully I'll have done the DAS by then so it won't be the YBR.

No, well you need your full license to do the run anyway as they go on the motorway apparently Smile

I'll hopefully be on either an FZ6 or Hornet by then!

Not sure - I was put off by all the hooning and silly behaviour last time, and coupled with the things we heard about people getting collared for being there, it's a bit worrying.

Well there were a couple of idiots pulling wheelies all the time, and it did degenerate into a rolling road block, but expecting 300 bikers to all behave themselves was a bit optimistic.

On the bright side that Chief Cuntstable who send random summonses to bikers afterwards did get his arse kicked for abuse of procedure.

It's not exactly necessary. The blue lights and sirens tend to be a bit of a giveaway; I doubt many of the riders will be bloody minded enough to be stuck on for obstructing plod in the execution of their tea run.

I'd suggest that this paragraph is something to point to when the DM come's a-knocking rather than a statement of intent.

Do it during the Olympics in East London, only way to be sure right.

Fuk em, they want to screw us, screw em back.

It doesn't matter really in the big Scheme.

The man always gets his way. Very Happy

If my bike's back on the road by then, which I sincerely hope that it will be, I'll probably do the Leicester>Nottingham run.

I missed out on the last demonstration because it was on 10/9 and I passed my test on the 29/9!

agreed, there should be a series of 'protests' held around london for big days in the olympics.
