I dropeed my Shark S900 on the floor a couple weeks ago and bent the visor lever so I can't open the visor without popping the sunshade. It's got annoying.

If you lot were buying a new full-face at the moment, what would you get?

Price isn't too important, but a decent SHARP rating, quiet-ish at up to about 90, and not totally festooned with gaudy logos.

My Arai Axces has been great, it's comfortable, quiet, well ventilated...

I'd probably get the Axces II or possibly a Chaser V if I was replacing it...

I like the look of Shoeis but I don't have a Shoei shaped head Sad

I've not tried any Shoeis for a bit. I'll put my head in one and see if it works.

Some people on londonbikers have told me to have a look the the Arai Quantum. Quite a few places doing them for £350 online.

If it fits, you can't go far wrong with a HJC FG-15 - I got mine for £100 about 2 years ago, it's been very good for the money.

Nicely made, well vented, washable interior, can get pinlock visors etc etc. I tried one at HG then bought it online, there is usually a sale on for his lid somewhere.

4* SHARP rating if that floats your boat.

Shoei Qwest is great.

That would depend if you have any chin and if your head is cue-ball shaped. I find the Arai Quantum to be a VERY specific head shape to fit.

Personally I love Shark helmets, I almost always choose to wear a Shark and currently rock the Race-R Pro. If you want light weight then it is a good drop for your money. The Shoei XR-1100 and Qwest are also good choices, the XR-1100 can howl air through if you need it to but suffers a bit from noise as a result.

i've got a scorpion exo450. first helmet, but really comfortable, cost me just over £100.

it's got 'airfit' in it - little air bladders behind the cheek pads you can pump up to get it to fit perfectly.

just had a look, getgeared are doing a deal on the top model, worth a go?

here

I would go for a Shark Vision-R Becool with the orange bits.
I've been happy with my shark lids so far, and I just like it. It wouldn't match anything else I own though.

Box FZ-1 is the one I have. Cheap as chips, fits well, and comes with pinlock as standard.

Negatives: It is rather loud at motorway speeds.
