Hello all.

After years of procrastination, I've finally pursuaded myself ( and the wife) that learning to ride a bike will be a good thing.

Got my CBT booked today for Monday, no hanging about. And I've bought a cheap HJC ZF-10 helmet (good fit) and a Pair of 2nd hand boots off eBay.

Any tips for Monday and beyond will be much appreciated

Welcome to the forum. Best advice anyone can give you is listen to the instructor and do as he says and you'll be fine.

If you struggle with the bike just relax, you'll soon start enjoying it.

Wear a decent jacket and heavy jeans and it would be worth investing in a pair of gloves. Thumbs Up

Enjoy it, it's training, not a test, and if the instructor gets lippy, lamp him/her and tell her to not get uppity. Thumbs Up

What's the Gary thing? Does it involve carrots and a hair drier ? Or was that something else I was thinking about ?
