It's really not worth the hassle of swapping in a used engine and from a different model of TS125 than your's. The mountings might well be different and while im sure that you could probably get some adapter plates and or spacers to fit the TSX engine into a TSR, i really don't know why you would want to?

fix the existing engine and do it right and do it once. You will have reliability, performance and piece of mind that way, even if it's not as cheap as another secondhand engine. If you do find another engine though and want to swap, then just get a TS125R engine, or even a 200 version if one crops up, but again then you have got hassle with carb's exhaust, CDI and possibly the cooling system to sort out or swap out for 200 parts, which won't be cheap.

The TS125R is a cracking liquid cooled 125 trail bike, it's biggest fault is that the build quality is probably not quite as good as a DTR or KMX, but the most serious issue is that there were never that many around, and so getting parts and cheap spares takes longer and is harder.

i was thinking maybe as the slightly older engine doesn't have a powrvalve system that is notorious for breaking that it may be more reliable in the long run, thats all and for what its gunna cost me to get mine sorted as it is i would just like to know if i have anymore options available to me
thanks
