I have never ever wheelied my bike as I'm terrified that I will die, also, I have no idea how to do it. Would actually be suprised if my little Holly had the power to lift her front end.

So yes, that is my fail confession, anyone else care to share?

Damn, forgot about Google...

I have another facepalm moment, I thought that my fuel tap was my choke, so I turned it off then wondered why my bike wouldnt start for about 3 days so got my girlfriends dad to have a look for me... Oh how we he laughed.

I have not intentionally wheelied the bike and no real interest to do so.

Oddly enough I have never had a kneedown properly either and dont care if I never do. I ride within my capabilities and I push them as comfortably as I dare too.

But I have been airborne with a pillion rider before, Embarassed

Twice in one day I went to enter a round about ASSUMING Embarassed that the car I was watching on the roundabout was carrying on straight ahead as they didn't have indicators on...both times I was wrong and had to skid to a stop on greasy roads.

Last month I thought I'd ran out of petrol when the bike gave out at a junction. I'd forgotten to turn the fuel tap on.

After coming back from the MOT, I pull into the driveway. I then look at the dashboard and try to put the bike into neutral.

I then realise, gear 1 is kick down...and I had been setting off in second gear most of the day...

1 down...5 up.....1 down...5 up...

Doh!

I got off the bike and forgot to put the side stand down. How I managed to catch it before it hit the deck I really don't know. Shocked

I have left my bike parked in the street with the keys left in about half a dozen times. And I've left it with my gloves sitting on it about a dozen times.

Done that once when I went to Loomies with Mark and Ben from here. Panicked as I walked towards my bike wondering where my keys are only to find them sitting in the ignition. Embarassed

1: Checking just how shit my scooters front brake was, full throttle and almost made it all the way to the handlebars... then hit a damp patch on the road, luckily it was about 1am on a country road.

2: First day I got my 600 I had managed to get it on the centre stand and decided to take it off while standing at the side of the bike... it got to about 45 degrees before I gave up and let it drop the rest of the way.

3: Again with the scooter I'd just stripped the carb down, cleaned it out and put it all together only to have it stuck on full throttle because I didn't realise there was a little pin for the slider to slot into.

4: Went to pick my 600 up from work, found it had a flat battery and tried to bump start it, spent the best part of half an hour pushing it back and forward before realising I had switched the ignition off again.

The list could go on and on

After work one day, I put on my jacket and headed for the rear of the staff car park, where the motorbikes and bicycles park, and was horrified to see that my bike was missing!

I headed straight back inside to Reception and reported to Security that my bike had been stolen.

The Security bloke, also a biker, said "Just as well really, you would look silly riding a motorbike dressed like that!"

A quick glance in the mirror behind the desk confirmed that I was wearing my suit jacket - I had left my bike at home that day and gone to work in the car!

Details of my stupidity quickly spread, and when I used the bike for work, some wiseass would say "Hey Al, someone's nicked your car!", and when I used the car, it was "Hey Al, someone's nicked your bike!".

I got tired of it long before anyone else did - thankfully, I don't still work there.

I've left my keys in my bike on numerous occasions while in town. Whenever I broke my routine of -foot stand down, steering left, lock and out, I ended up leaving my keys in the bike, usually hanging from the seat lock.

The day I passed my Mod 2 I popped into work only to have a colleague run up on me and tell me there was some dude standing outside with my keys near my bike. Had tried to put them in my back pocket with my gloves on and not actually checked they went in. Fell right on the floor. Thankfully he was speaking to the police and had written me a note ready to return them. Thumbs Up

I also hit the kill switch in the middle of a busy junction and didn't realise. Stopped loads of traffic while I tried to push it out the way, thinking I'd ran out of fuel or something. Took off like a rocket when I realised what I'd done.

The list could go on.

Usual buffoonery from myself:

Filtering to the front of a big line of cars - then to only stall when the lights go green!!

Keys in, so many times!

Fitted some heated grips at the start of winter - didn't have the relay I wanted so wired straight into he battery as a quick fix - you can guess the rest!

Not having enough weight in one of my throw over panniers whilst out camping for the weekend - so stopping every few miles on the motorway to find out what the fuck keeps banging against me!

Said panniers against my old stock (and gets very hot) exhaust!!

Changing the oil and forgetting to put the drain plug back in ( more than once)!!

etc etc

I hate that feeling you get when it dawns on you that your keys are missing and then the feeling of thank fuck/what a dope when you see them sitting there in the ignition.

One more from me... Having just brought my bike and got it home. Time to go for a ride so, I got on it making sure it was in Neutral, start it, down to first, bike cuts out... Repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat, repeat...
I ended up kicking the bike to the floor, then kicking it some more out of pure rage at the thought of being sold an even bigger pile of crap than it obviously was.
So, i turn on the laptop and go to send the seller of the bike a hate email after a quick google search to see how big the problem is.

Turns out, with the side stand down it cuts out.... Safety feature of some kind Embarassed

Neither have I, in fact I've never even succeeded in wheelieing a bicycle. My plan for next year (totally out of cash for this year) if I can even learn how to ride properly is to visit a wheelie school, there's one not too far away from me that charges £175 for a day's training.
