Hi there, been a looong time since I did my CBT and cannot remember. I'm getting my girlfriend on to two wheels, she does not have any type of licence (not even a provisional, will need to get haha).

Will she need to do a theory test before she does a CBT or can she just do the CBT straight away? DVLA site is not especially clear (not really a surprise) but there is no mention of a theory test in the CBT section.

I'd always just assumed you had to do one before being out on the road in/on anything.

no.

you only need a theory if you're planning on doing your full licence (either full or restricted)
