Hi,
Fired up the bike today, it idles fine, but on anything above 1/3 throttle, it doesnt really increase in revs, but bangs loudly and repeatedly. Sounds almost like gunfire.
Like this, but higher revs and alot louder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJtn4IokSEs
In the semi-see-through fuel line, i can see the fuel level sits about 1/2 way up, but with the throttle open this level drops upto the nipple on the carb.
Im assuming fuel isnt coming through fast enough?
Thanks

If you pull off the pipe that feeds the fuel from the tank to the carb, direct it into a bottle or container. With the fuel tap on see how much fuel flows. If it starts off full flow then goes to a trickle, remove the tank filler cap and see if the flow increases. If the flow stays the same, switch the tap to 'reserve' (if it has one) and again see if the flow increases.

If the flow does not increase with the filler cap off and the tap in either position it may well be the filter on the tap is blocked. If this is the case, siphon off as much fuel as possible and remove and clean the tap and filter.
