I am thinking about shotening the pipe on my bandit, I have shortened my little brothers pipe so I know how to do it, but I had alot of trouble with the wadding.

When I pulled it out it was a nice big bag but when I started cutting the edges started to fray every where. Thew reason this was such a problem is that getting the end cap back on was incredibly difficult!

Just wanted to ask people what is the easiest and most effective way of cutting the wadding? cheers.

Cut it and turn it round so the cut bits aren't near the end cap?

Remove all wadding.

Your choice Laughing

I am not taking the piss, and this may sound a little simplistic, but... Scissors?
Always found that good pair of tailors scissors are perfect for cutting 'textiles', like glass-fibre.

Scissors! I used a huge pair and pretty much cut it all at once perfectly! ive tried using various knives before with terrible results! used some anti heat bond to seal the fibres back together and the pipe is all done Smile looks lovely and sounds better as well! cheers guys!

How loud is it without wadding? and does it make that tiny/rattling kinda noise? like when you run a bike with a straight pipe?
