Hi all,
As I have previously stated on the site, I am restoring my Honda cg125s (95) to near new condition and so far doing a preliminary inspection can say that I'm going to need some seemingly expensive parts so am now wandering whether to go ahead with the project or not.

So this far I need, with approx quoted prices ex vat

A seat £25
An exhaust £75
Rear / front wheesl due to rusty rims and siezed parts (possibly new drums) £120 each
Mudguards front and rear TBC

Rear brake/main stand & pivot assembly (seized to hell and somehow welded together, not even the mighty Wd40 and lump hammer could cope) £45-65

so I'm looking at around £400-£500 + mark,

makes me think, shall i just buy a second hand bike!

I have tried the specialist Honda dealer and tried to look for a local bike breaker but alas i don't know of any in Torbay.

Any help you guys might offer would certainly help me maintain the project's rpm,

Thanks Thumbs Up

Can you get a second hand bike for £400-£500?
maybe

You'll want a grand for a nice bike
800 will probably get you a crosser/newer CG

2001 CG with about 15k on the clocks can be obtained for 7/800 probably

upload bigger pics of all of your bike so we can judge Thumbs Up
