As the stock exhaust is all one unit until it connects to the down-pipes next to the rear shock.

I need one, what does everyone use?

Hello boss, got your answers, had to do it myself.

Mine was a standard to begin with, now got a Micron, that link pipe link you have there is mega bucks for just a pipe man.

Sign up to hondahornet.co.uk, the forum's under 'message board' to aid confusion. https://www.hondahornet.co.uk/

Ask in the for sale/wanted section, should no-one already be selling one, start a thread saying you want one. A man called Scott usually posts up saying call this guy and tell him scott sent you.
As a clue, rather than the price of that link pipe there, my micron (including link pipe and clamp) cost me £60 including delivery.

That should sort you out, I know its not a direct answer, but there's your path to what you want unless you wanna pay big bucks brand new.

I think I saw a thread like that when I was looking for one. Didn't want to ring up some bloke and say the internet sent me though. Laughing

They seem a right pain in the arse to get hold of.

Cheers Chris but that doesn't look like it'll fit. I'll take a picture and show you what I mean, but the link pipe is gonna have to be much more curvy than that to get round to the side of the bike past the shock.

That may not be the only option, there might be someone selling one generally anyway.
And yes, the link pipe is a curvy bitch, and the angle of the downpipe curving up just makes things more awkward.

I'd watch this, bargain, with spare downpipes too
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/HONDA-CBF600-CBF-600-HORNET-EXHAUST-COMPLETE-/251068301914?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item3a74d6425a#ht_3523wt_1185

or something like this, to put the downpipes extorsionate price into perspective:

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NEW-CB600-HORNET-ROUND-VIPER-RACE-CAN-AND-LINK-PIPE-/130675714227?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item1e6ce128b3#ht_1867wt_1185

they do an oval one too, which IMO is nicer, and only a touch more expensive.

It'd be much easier if I didn't already have a can ready to be cut down!

So annoying these pipes are sold in sets. I just need the pipe... Whole point was doing it on the cheap.

Bought a mates can for £20 to be stubbied, some scorpion stainless.

Mad
