If he admitted liability then surely it doesn't even matter if you're uninsured? You're claiming off of his insurance.

As for the CBT, I don't believe that they can just say "your CBT expired, no cover for you" once you have your certificate.

Probably best for someone who knows more than me to expand though. I'm just basically trying to say that I don't think that you'll have any problems.

wouldn't your insurance be void without a CBT as you're ridiing otherwise than in accordance with a licence.

He wasn,t riding and was't at fault. Your claim is off his insurance, and has nothing to do with your insurance unless there is a dispute.

And for the record, you need to have a valid cbt in order to do a das course.

Could have been taken there by a biker with a full licence?

There's legitimate ways it could have gotten there, even if OP didn't use one of them and rode it himself.

Don't get caught up in a discussion of who may or may not have been riding it. Your property has been damaged by some ignorant mong, he's paying for it, that's it. No more talky-talk.

I know Rolling Eyes

Just making OP aware of possible questions..

And its possible that if he used your excuse. They could say that in that case, the rider needs to claim off his ins...

IF he admits liability then its straight forward enough.....however, admitting responsibility at the time doesnt necessarily mean he will to his insurer. In that case, your license status may be of more interest to them.

Mind you, its difficult to see how his insurer could try and wriggle out of this one so i think you'll be alright.
