Ever since i bought my CB500S my rear brake has been warped quite badly but never got round to changing it. Now that ive got some time/money i thought i should change it.

I was just wondering if anyone has had any experience with Kyoto Wavy Discs (or just origional kyoto ones which are still cheaper) which i can get for half the price of the genuine ones.

Im aware that wavy discs supposedly clean the pads and reduce the possibility of the disc overheating but is there really any advanatges to them or are they just for show?

Thanks for the help

I recently fitted a similar aftermarket wavy rear disk to the Bandit - although mine is Arashi branded, not Kyoto...
Yes it looks really nice, and it certainly works better than the scored, ridged original disk ... but whether it works better than a new EBC disk, I couldn't say.

It was relatively cheap (from "motogp888" on fleabay), it works well, and it inspires more confidence than the knackered original. I'm certainly happy with it
