well don't, because its easy, just remember is not a test, they are there to help you learn, is just a lesson, nothing to worry about believe me, if you shit yourself throughout the process don't expect everything to go smooth, just be calm, and im sure you will be in a group with people just like you, doing CBT!

Best of luck and remember is not a test! Mr. Green

Do you have any road experience at all?

If so, it will kick in after about 10 to 15 mins, things will get a whole lot easier and you'll relax a bit.

If not, don't panic, they won't let you out on the road if they don't feel you are in control and confident enough for it. Wink

I am really looking forward to it too, my main worry is getting out on the road, i dont drive and although i kinda know most road signs etc(i think??) its quite daunting. I'm actually going with a mate who's doing it too so should be fun, just need to try and relax i guess

It's good that you're going with a mate, bit of moral support and all that.
Don't worry about road signs, the instructor won't be trying to catch you out by sending you down one way streets etc, he'll be talking to you via an ear-piece and guiding you all the way through.

You'll do fine. Wink

Imodium and a big dose of MTFU. It's a fun day, get your head sorted out.

Don't worry, they'll start the on-road bit on a side street or deserted industrial estate to let you get your confidence. When you do hit the main roads remember you'll have an instructor behind you watching your arse and keeping the cagers at bay.

Remember its NOT A TEST, the instructor will coach you on what you're about to ride into, NOT try and catch you out.

Have a pint of vodka to soothe your nerves
Think really hard about everything and tell the instructor he's wrong constantly and you know more than him

You'll pass in no time

HTH Thumbs Up

PS. Don't

Get a good nights sleep - it's a long and tiring day but good fun all the same.

^ that

I had a really enjoyable time on my CBT - the instructors were very patient and supportive. Amazing thing is they know what you're about to do wrong before you've even done it and will talk you through everything. Just do what they tell you and everything will be fine....
I know what you mean, despite my previous riding experience I was nervous as hell when I pulled that huge throbbing beast of a YBR out onto the road for the first time Very Happy

So again.... relax, listen, enjoy Smile

Make sure you make some nice BLT's, some for yourself the rest to 'blackmail' if the worse happens.

I did mine on Monday, and a good night's sleep is fair advice but the excitement and adrenaline keep you pumped all day.

So I'll have to agree with LISTEN as the best advice as your instructor knows what he's doing and will get you you through it, oh and enjoy it, it's great fun.
