Well the motorcycle i wanted will be called bike X.
Well i went to a local dealership and found that bike X would be bests suited for me. Bike x will also be a pretty nice chick magnet.

Well i choice the dealer in vaxhuall (metropolismotorcycles) as the dealership i would like to do business with.
I made it clear that i would want to purchase bike X USED on fiance, but he still try lie a bs me into purchasing a new bike.
I was going to purchase the bike tomorrow just wanted a figure down on paper on what i would be paying, but no he had to bs about the interest, saying you might as well buy the bike new on 0% apr rather than spend £700 - £800 on interests which in total with d bike X evaluation would total to pretty much the same amount as a brand new bike X. I later discovered as a put the phone down that the interests would be probably less than a quarter than the mug said.

Anyway i won't be using metropolismotorcycles just in case they bs after i purchase the bike. Wouldn't like to be dragged along by them for 2years.

Are all dealerships mother fkin leaches or is that just one out of soooooo many. BTW does anyone know of any other well known trusted dealerships in london?

I'm pretty sure dealers get a kickback if you use their finance company. AFAIK this is pretty standard.

Sounds like fairly typical sales banter to me?

It's usually considerably cheaper to source your own finance anyway.

Reminds me of a few years ago.(not bike related, but similar sort of thing)
We were buying a top of the range full multi media PC.Salesman got it all loaded up on trolly including a desk and quite a few extras,i think the total bill was something like £1700,and we were paying in cash.
He turns round and says will you come into this booth with me and will discuss extra protection for your computer.
My 1st words to him were IF you're going to offer me your extra warrante then i'm not interested.
No no was his reply.
I replied by saying you mention purchasing an extra warranttee when I have manufacturers garanttee,I'll just walk out and leave you to put this all back.
Gets there and he says we have this extra policy we'd like to sell you, incase anything goes wrong with it within the 1st year.
I then warned him that all I want to do is pay for the stuff and go.But no he still carried on trying to sell his companies policy.
So at that point we walked out told him to put the pc up his harris.Made sure other custermers heard we were moaning, and a few walked out with us.He lost his cut of £1700 and we got similar just across the rd for £200 cheaper.

I had the option of finance deals on my new bike - worked out at 6% apr over two years. Applied for a new credit card online and got a 0% apr deal over two years instead. The maths aint hard to work out imo Smile

My mate bought a brand new Tuono from there, it came without some of the paperwork such as the owner handbook/service record book, it also came with the clocks diplayed in KMH. He went back to get the display changed to MPH because you need a code to enter the setup and they claimed to not know it, in the end I had to ask on here for the passcode for him.

He said they were all over him right until he paid the money then they dropped him like a stone and would barely talk to him. I think you did right to give them the elbow. Take yuor business somewhere that has at least some amount of customer service.

you got any figures? Cause I gurrantee the interest was more than £200. It is feasable that on finance the new bike can be a better deal for both of you as they also get a registration bonus which can be passed as a discount. If the prices are pretty close then the salesman might have been correct, in addition your insurance would cover you new for old, which it doesnt on the used bike.

They're a business, not a charity. And they're in the business of taking every possible penny out of your pocket and putting it into theirs.

You've learned the lesson and not got mugged, so try not to take it so personally, just get your R125 (amirite?) elsewhere.
