Do another CBT on a geared bike(well worth it) as when you come to do your 3 days training , they normally expect you to know gears( to a degree) as it is afterall basic cbt stuff |

As i told you on gtaf Dup, if you can, go for a 600. The majority of main-stream 600's pack a nice mid-range punch, which is where you'll be needing it on overtakes and such. Go to https://www.autotrader.co.uk/BIKES/ for some really good bikes, in really good nick, for fairly cheap prices.
Theres a ton of 600's you can choose from, but its what you'll be using the bike for. I.e; touring, commuting, weekend adventure trips etc. that will decide how much you want to spend.
If you bought may's issue of RiDE you might have been able to see the 8-or-so page review they did on bikes that would be excellent for first time riders. Or buy "What bike?" and take a look in there at things that interest you, then simply look for an older model. ____________________ I want a bigger bike! |
