 |

Just joined this forum so bare with me please if the images are not uploaded properly.
Basically, I want to sell my Honda NSR 125r by the end up the summer so I can buy a 250 (Interested in Honda Hornets). I'll be doing my full license before the end of this month.
My issue is, is that I don't want to pay out for new fairings because not only the cost involved of the fairings, but finding black fairings which match the petrol tank. I don't have a great deal of money to put into it unfortunately.
As you can see (hopefully) from the pictures, the under pan of the fairing has lost it's connection to the sides. The plastic casing around the screws has snapped clean off from general wear - I guess.
What I want to do to fix it, is by using a screw driver drill through the plastic through the side and into the under pan, then just nut and bolt it with a washer in place.
My questions are, will the drill go cleanly through the fairings? Will it crack?
Is there any kind of screw you'd suggest?
Thanks for any replies |

They're pretty deep scratches, in the exhaust!
Some wet and dry, followed by polishing, with proper polishing paste and a polishing wheel, will tidy it up but won't get rid of the deeper scratches.
If you know what your doing, you could fill the deeper scratches with solder, but it's not worth the hassle.
If it were me I'd just polish it, as best I could. ____________________ "Everybody needs money, that's why they call it money!" |
