...I've got the ghey.

https://db.tt/3X0Gwfwm

Picked this up tonight and I can't stop grinning. '94 Suzuki Savage 650. Short, simple and grunty - just like me. Only 8000 on the clock, frame and swing arm freshly powder coated, all bearings done front back and steering, new tyres, all fasteners replaced by the OCD owner for stainless. Nothing needs doing on it, runs sweet as a nut.

Shame this 4 day weekend is going to be pissing down for all of it Sad

Very nice. I wouldn't mind one of those. Had a sit on one and definitely a good bike for shorties!

Don't see many of those about. Can't say that I'm a big fan of the fork angle, but it looks tidy for a bike of its age.

Wotcha.

I like singles - must do, got a few of 'em. . . . . but why the name "Savage" ? There's bugger all savage about 'em . . . . the only other bike with a more inapropriate name was the NSU Quickly Mr. Green

Hmm - could have been worse I suppose . . . . you might have bought the smaller 400cc "Tempter" ( which does have an amazing front brake, despite its silly moniker )

I had my doubts about the lack of quick direction changes; it's not as "flicky" as the CB500 but for a cruiser it's quite nimble. Dropping the forks a bit can be achieved simply, so I gather :-

Nice bikes Savages and that looks particularly tidy Thumbs Up

Bloke I got the MZ off (mate of my dads) also had one of these in his plethora of bikes granted if he was selling it would have ripped his arm off! Makes a beautiful roar with straight through pipe, admittedly the riding position and ergonomics most put me off if he ever does sell it to me I'd have to do this to it.

(think I have a thing for singles too......)

Are you looking at doing a café racer conversion, then? Or just lowering the forks a bit? I have to admit, I do like the look of where that Ryca guide is going, certainly.

Just lowering the forks. Anything I'd do would be non-destructive.

Looks... Savage. Laughing

The Japanese haven't quite got the hang of names yet have they? Even the name Ninja was thought of by an American.

Lets look at the evidence:

Bandit
Savage
intruder
Bros
drag star
