I'm looking for a small stiff-bristled brush for degreasing and cleaning cruddy parts etc. Currently I use a cut-dwon paintbrush for smaller parts or a large nylon-bristled brush for larger ones but neither are ideal, the paintbrush bristles are too soft and the large brush is just too coarse.

I've tried the usual wooden-handled ones and several others, but not found anything 'ideal', either they are too soft, wear out fast or the glue dissolves and they shed their bristles.

So, who can reccomend me a decent stiff-bristled cleaning brush which is unaffected by degreaser.

Muc-off do pretty decent little brushes in their cleaning kits, I used to use it to clean mine until the dog killed it to death Thumbs Up Mr. Green. It was a very good little brush, made to fit your hand too so your fingers didn't ache tooooo much.

Looking for something a bit more industrial really. Those brushes you get for kitchen duty but more robust.

I have two sizes of those, perfect for doing shock-absorber springs. Thumbs Up

I use the same kind of thing as mr_fisty, but made by autoglym.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/AUTOGLYM-HI-TECH-WHEEL-BRUSH-X-1-WITH-FREE-POSTAGE-/370544816868?pt=UK_Car_Accessories_Car_Care_Cleaning&hash=item56463132e4#ht_2398wt_1396

It's actually cheaper too Shocked

You can really mash it in to the parts your cleaning and the bristles never distort, it's a stiff brush, but still very soft in a way!

Cheers for those. I actually dashed down to Halfords just before they closed last night and bought a 'detailing' brush which was actually pretty good. Not perfect, but more effective than the paint brush.
These flood through ones will work well in my degreaser tank though which is missing it's brush.
