Need to buy some as the paramedics removed a leg off my leathers
Definately not going for JF-pelle again, all the stitching on the knee split completely. Hence the swollen up, road rashed mess halfway down my leg. Somewhat entertained that the armour had GOODLUCK written on it
Whats good, looking for a shit ton of armour in it and something that wont come apart at the seams when i hit the deck.
Also looking for some input on "buffalo" gear, bought a 2nd hand jacket & gloves for £40 to get me back out there asap. Seems solid, how does it hold up in a crash?? Always good to have spare gear regardless. Opting for textile this time.
Not too sure about the gloves as theres no carbon fiber blocks on the finger joints, only on the first & middle knuckles. The spada enforcers failed miserably & split down the seams on the palms. Dont particularily want that again! However the little bits of cf seems to have stopped the damage to my fingers.
All gears got to be propperly waterproof. The old kit wasnt! ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.

Bargh, rather fry than end up hobbling round the house like a total gimp.
Leathers were sweaty as f*ck anyway!
Alpha, i added up to the 2012 spill counter. But long story short throttle jammed on the gs, i lost the back end and did a million rolly pollys down the road. 4hrs in a neck brace, 6hrs in hospital, road rash to knee and back. Backpack and boots survived, leathers, gloves and lid write off. Bent forks, smashed engine cover, broken screen, bent headlight, bars hit the tank & bent, zorst scuffed to shit (vance & hines too )
I'll live and the bike will too. Back on the YBR for a few weeks though, and the other half is insisting i put a new screen on before she rides it ____________________ Please be aware that the above post may be full of complete nonsense.

I've had Akito and RST textiles for some years, and would happily recommend them for year round comfort.
Thankfully (for me) I've never needed to test their absasion resistance by sliding down the road, but the stitching and general quality seems very good IMO ____________________ 1st bike (Sept'06 - May'10) : 1991 GPZ500S / Current bike (since Nov 2009) : 2003 Suzuki Bandit 600N

^ Also have RST. I have an RST textile Razor jacket and leather Razor trousers that I've had for about 10 months and they still look like new. The other month I bought an RST leather Slice jacket and love it.
Some brands i.e. Dainese and Alpinestar charge top end prices for top end gear, but other brands i.e. RST charge mid end prices for top end gear.
