Changing handle bar

Hi, thinking of changing my handle bar to just a straight bar, like this:

How much would it affect my riding?
I am wanting to create that streetfighter look but don't like the renthal's as they are too similar to the standard bar.

On which of those bikes? Flat bars feel awkward in my opinion and gold tat is overused and often looks shit. Try a few bikes with flat bars, not my cup of tea personally.

Renthal Ultra Lows are the way forward - they're fucking strong too and make a good extra crashbung

I put a straight bar on a bike years ago, it looks the business but I simply couldn't ride it. It forces your hands to adopt a really awkward position, it felt like my elbows were being pushed outward all the time. Maybe you wouldn't feel it like that, who knows?

A small bend in the bars is necessary IMO.

Have a look at the Renthal dimensions chart and check out the Road Sports, it has both height and rise as 0mm, and only a minimal 60mm from the clamp plane to the tips. I'd way prefer those over genuinely flat bars.

These are called road sports but i cannot see how it has no lift, they clearly do have some lift:

The first one you link is described as an Ultra Low and Road Sports, 2 different styles from Renthal. Definately showing lift where there should be none. Confusing and unhelpful from Busters.

The second bars you link are pretty much what the road sports should be according to that spec thingy I linked above. Probably your best compromise.

Agreed, straight bars feel bizarre, like your hands are pointing inwards all the time.

You could just buy a metre of cheap 22mm aluminium tube, cut it to whatever length you want, then put a slight backwards bend in the ends.
