hi my nsr 125 1998 has bad flat spot at 6k bogs out realy bad its full power ,can anyone help me out,cheers

hi mate i was having this problem a week ago...

First check the air intakes are on and tight and that there is no air leaks... as it will bog down when too much air goes in...

secondly i up jetted the carb...

i must admit that up jtting the carb made a hell of a diffrence
the bike has such a more smoother throttle no lumps or flat spots ..

3rd check that the power valve is correctly adjusted Very Happy

hi buddy cheers for that ive been at it for days,i changed the power valve cables round and took the foam out the air box and its goin like a wee rocket now Wink Thumbs Up

I wont run with the air filter out pal ....itts there to clean the air as it goes in the engine ... any dust/flies/crap is gonna damage the engine..

swaped the power valve cables ??????

did you have them the wrong way around to start with ??? this has happened to me aswell...

hi buddy got that wrong i took it out and cleaned it its back in lol, is ur bike full power,what have u done to ur airbox have you put holes in it? i just tryed the cables the other way and it sorted the problem,as it was not runin right at all and would not go over 55mph if that i had old women passin me in micras lol, i got the bike off sum guy who had just rebuilt the engine so he must have put cabels round wrong way,what year is ur bike? cheers for ur help Thumbs Up

yeah mines full power ...

carbon reed valves
up jetted carb
KN filter
arrows full system
ohmed out and polished exhaust port
changed sprockets for more mid range and top end..

have a spare engine with a 150cc bore on it ....i dont fel its any faster....just louder lol.....

mines a 2001 mate owned it from new Wink my first bike .... would never sell her too much fun to ride great on sunny days for blastin in the lanes

cheers,do u think i should try a k&n on mine? wots ur top speed u get out ur nsr? mines has jets done and a jianelli pipe,and boysten reeds,cheers
