I thought I'd pick your brains on 2 items which have cropped up when getting the Ducati back on the road

1) The wheel has had a knock where it hit a kerb before throwing me off last year. The tyre is undamaged and remains inflated. The very end of the rim has clearly had a impact, as it is slightly away from the wall of the tyre on the very end of the rim only, but the wheel remains true.

2) The left side of the bike has an after-market rear-set, and I have replaced the right side with an original peg and bracket. From a comfort point of view, there's very little difference.

Has anyone had any experience of MOT stations pulling them up on either point ? Thanks in advance.

Unless the rearsets are unsafe then it will not matter that they are mismatched.

As for the wheel, if it is just the lip of the rim then knock it straight with a block of wood and a lump hammer?

The issue with bending back the rim would be whether or not it cracks. Didn't want to chance it so I just got a 2nd hand wheel off ebay.

It won't crack. Knock it back in with a hammer and a wooden block.
