Okay, so I've been a dumbass and lost both my keys (put them down somewhere whilst rushing to get ready for holiday 2 weeks ago) and having spent 2 days looking, they've gone. I've looked around at all the local mobile auto locksmiths and was looking around 70 quid for them to cut a key, but a local firm has said that if I can get the barrel out, he can cut me one for 25 quid if I take it to him.

How difficult should it be to remove it from a Suzuki GSX600F, and can anybody give me any hints on where to start? Failing that, if any kind soul is around Rochdale nr Manchester that could help me out I would love you forever, or if that's a bit wierd, I can pay in beer Laughing

Thanks,

Dan

I think it'd be easier to take the lock off the bike still attached to the top yoke. I'm sure last time this sort of thing came up that someone mentioned ignition barrels are fitted with shear bolts?

Good luck, you may well need it.

When I had the GZ, the barrel was cattle trucked. Had to take it to a garage. In the end they had to use an angle grinder to cut through the bolts as they would not come out.

I have a feeling that you would probably have to do the same.
