I have a few very light scratches on my tank. They aren't deep and only penetrate through the lacquer. I bought this Fix It Pro scratch removal pen for £1.70 off Ebay and tried it today but it was useless. I'm now looking at this G3 scratch removal liquid which seems to have decent reviews and is only £8 with free delivery.

Does anyone have any experience with this scratch removal liquid? Or any other recommendations that work for removing scratches?

Pics would be good. TBH t-cut scratch remover or any rubbing compound will work fairly well on light lacquer scracthes. A bit of careful wet sanding before rubbing and then polishing might be needed if they're deeper.

if its just in the lacquer there should be no colour change whatsoever in the scratch, if thats the case, forget fancy compounds and the like.
wet sand the area GENTLY with 2000grit wet and dry paper, i say again WET sand! then Polish it up.

Use a clay bar first to get the ingrained shit out of the lacquer, followed by a mild cutting polish. Have a gander at detailingworld forum.

Agree you dont need anything fancy but a rubbing compound is fine for taking the level of the surrounding paint down a touch IMO.

Try these methods on an area that's not visible normally or practice on another item first. I'd be weary of using wet and dry on my tank without having a go 1st on something else. But i agree that it should be ok, providing you use a very fine paper.

I've used the fluid you mention from amazon, and it didn't work on my fine scratches on my single seat cowl. So had to live with them.
