Just thought i'd buck the trend of the usual "My bike won't start" threads.
My DRZ has been sitting outside, unloved and forlorn, for over 12 months, got myself a trials bike, last autumn, so I've been pootling around on that.
The DRZ's battery was fooked, a cheap replacement was fitted this this morning.
After a quick check of fluid levels, and a top up of fresh petrol, I tweaked the choke, hit the electric foot and lo and behold it fired up in less than a second! 
Result!

Virtually impossible to get off island with a vehicle, it can be done but takes months of planning and you can't travel with your vehicle on the ferry!

Fork seal's gone on one side which is a PITA.
Only downside here is, with it being rocky and no mud, back tyres last a couple of hours max!

Mental Well.. can you hire bikes out there? Need licence and stuff?
Well, you get the pleasure of riding the Bandit when you get here, its all legal now Pics in bike pictures forum
Get the fork seals sorted, awesome bike... any photos? |
