Can the no claims bonus you get from riding a 125 be used when I go to insure myself on my 600?

When I put in my details about when I passed my test online, it says that I can't have the no claims because of the date I passed...

Hopefully I haven't in essence lost 4 years NCB!

Any help would be muchly appreciated guys

Louis

Yep. It should ask somewhere else on the form how many years no claims you have... Who are you trying to get insured with? Might be an idea to check other companies.

Often it will have "When did you obtain CBT" section as well as "Years No Claims"and it SHOULD take it into consideration - Definitely worth ringing them to find out what's going on. You absolutely should NOT lose 4 years no claims bonus!

As above Thumbs Up

NCB is NCB to the insurance companies usually, I used mine from a 50cc towards a 600 (and still on a provisional)

Which useless incompetent mongtarded site are you going through? I've yet to find one that bitches about NCD being greater than the license-held-for period.

I did 2 years on a nsr125 before I passed and got a z750s and used the ncb towards my bike and other bikes there after.

I was having that problem when I was looking for quotes too. Because I took out insurance on 1/4/11 and passed my mod2 29/9/11. They wouldn't let me put in 1 NCB.

I should have phoned people, but I'm far too lazy.

I solved the problem easily for next year though. I crashed and lost the NCB Thumbs Up

Compare the market, it's those pesky meerkats, I wouldn't use any other comparison site...

Tried thebikeinsurer.co.uk? I think they were OK with me having more NCD than license duration.
