Well, I figured it was longer than a week without something going wrong in my life.

Idiot knocked me off my bike, then rectifier blew up some twat stole it, I paid the extortion fee to get it back...

Now I've got a screw in my rear tyre. What can I do about this?

It's more or less in the centre of the tyre. Plenty of tread left unfortunately, always comes at a time when you can't afford a new tyre. Pirelli Diablo as well.

Further away from the sidewall the better surely Thumbs Up

~£10 if you take the wheel/bike to a garage
~£20 for a mobile/on site repair

I've unfortunately had experience of both methods over the last 2 years

Take to local tyre shop.
If the punture is central pf the tread they will repair it, not if its near the sidewall.
They will use a mushroom plug from the inside of the tyre
Dont use the cheap home repair kits as they are only temporary fixes

Bit late now, I know, but I carry a puncture repair kit under the saddle. I pick up punctures regularly, and do all the repairs myself. Never had one fail, must have done over 20 of them by now. The kits come with CO2 (Carbon dioxide) bottles, so you can re-inflate after plugging is done. The peace of mind that comes with knowing that a puncture isn't going to leave you stranded really lets you enjoy a ride-out or long trip so much more. If you haven't got one of these kits, go out and get one now.

So, where do you buy them, then?
A revolution in tyre design, if ever there was one! Laughing
