Mine is

FUK U2

I have one but no way I'll be posting it up here.

It cost me 250 and it's a cost everytime to swap it to another bike or to retain it. If you don't pay to retain you lose it.
DVLA are twaaaats on this.

It'd be about the last thing I'd spend on.

I can sort of see the point on an Audi or Range Rover to distinguish it from the 50,000 identical ones on the roads, but how many identical or even similar bikes do you see on your daily jaunts?

I saw two old blokes in a sports car on the motorway with A1 NUS. Not saying it was a personalised plate but it didn't look like a car built in 1984ish.

I found a nice plate for myself, then i thought '£405 would buy me a new lid/nice tarty bike accessories/new tyres' etc etc. Nah, CBA with personal plates. Much better things to spend my hard-earned on.

But to be honest I can think of better things to spend my money on.

All my vehicles do, although 2 of them were by accident. Embarassed

The VS1400 is F"J05" *** and the previous owner (honest) put a bolt between the 0 and the 5 so it reads JO'S. That one was an accident.

My car is **** JXB - anyone who knows me well should get that but it did inspire me to name my company "JXB Resources Ltd". That one was an accident too!

My Zeph is M155 JXB - that cost me £450 and actually belongs to the company and is listed as a company asset. Should I get rid of the zeph the plate will be retained and moved to another vehicle.

The reg on the VS800 is ***** YAM cos I have been Yambabe on the internet since forever and many of my friends that I have met via forums and chatrooms call me Yam. Makes me easy to find at meets lol cos I am generally the only Suzuki with a YAM number plate! The OH got me that one for Xmas a few years back, I think it cost him £50 off ebay.

I only like the ones that are legitimately words or initials, etc.

AL05PHA? If I have to think 'hang on, what does 05 mean? oh, it's pointless? or is it supposed to be at the end?', it defeats the point IMO.

You see the same on forums and videogames often - people choosing usernames like Dérivativé because their favourite is already taken. Slight modifications on license plates are understandable because DVLA don't allow all letter combinations - but random characters you have to ignore strike me as a bit odd considering the pricing is hardly low.

There's a range rover near me that has the plate 'RA5CAL'. I approve of that one.

Years ago I was contemplating getting one for my car and wanted my initials and my year of birth. I told a friend this and he pissed himself laughing.

My initials are PNS and he said add a couple of vowels. That put paid to that stupid idea.

Saw one on a Porsche last week. Something like B1 5LU7, the woman who got in it looked rather respectable tbh.

A mate posted a photo of a new style mini on Facebook the other day. It had "MYC 4R" mis-spaced as "MY C4R". Though it looked quite funky even if it's illegal.

About 15 years ago I worked for a place that auctioned of "Cherished Marks" in conjunction with DVLA. I saw them sell B747 JET, BAL 100N and countless others that unfortunately I can't remember.

I do have a personalised plate on the car that someone bought me but not posting it up. Last 3 letters are DAE (my name).

Dae.

I've spent a fair amount of time at the British airways training centre recently - there's a disproportionately high percentage of personalised plates in the car park. Lots of "JET" and a fair few Boeing numbers. More than a couple "LHR" which can't be a coincidence.

Pilots. Rolling Eyes Heaven forfend someone mistake them for a normal person. Laughing
