Following on from this thread I have now decided which bits I need.

However, my loathing of vehicle electrics has surfaced. I am reluctant to strip insulation and patch into existing wiring as with my ham fisted approach I could seriously cock things up (technical term used there Wink ). Likewise with using scotchlock connectors has never heard good things about them.

So I was wondering if I could get any 2 into 1 spade connectors? That way can keep existing wiring (always a good thing) and just add extra circuit.

From Vehicle Wiring Products have come across these Stationary Blades SBC 2 into 1. I wondered if this was the correct bit and if my plan sounds sensible.

How many of these things do you require? I think that I may have some similar type connectors. I will check when I get home this evening. The type that I think I may have are ''insulated'' piggyback connectors similar to the ''uninsulated'' ones shown 3 items up from the ones you linked to on the VWP site.

What, exactly, are you trying to connect into?

Here's one good way of attaching two things to one wire, (not the only way).

Cut the wire.

Attach a single male bullet connector to one cut end.

Attach a twin female bullet connector to the other end.

Attach your new accessory to the other side of the twin bullet.

I thought I'd use some spade connectors that are already on the bike.

That's sort of what I was thinking except not inline as the spade connectors are at the end of the existing wire.

The thinking is for daylight driving LEDs that are always on. So using the suggestion in this thread using the horn connections. Think that should be ok, otherwise I'll plumb into the parking/sidelight leads so they can be switched off. Just basically looking for the quickest, easiest (as in easily understood by someone else looking at it) and robust solution even if not the cheapest (as extra bits needed).

Piggy-back blade connector on the end of your accessory wire then?:
