I saw the smashing pumpkins on their last ever uk gig and it blew me away! I'm glad to see a few agree, though you must understand my music taste is a wide range, stretching from old 70s punk and metal(Slayer) to Drum and bass and hip hop.

I've just thought about the Beastie Boys though.......

It's just getting annoying that every time I log on, the first 20 posts are by yourself then I have to wade through all them which are all asking stupid things like "whats your favourite band" not that you care what my favourite band is? but it means that all useful topics such as a picture of G standing on a trailer or someone asking how to encode a video, means they are harder to find and get lost in a jumble of "conure, conure conure".

No one will like you any less if you don't post so much Wink

Hi
Yeah posting isnt a problem, but topics that have been made before are annoying, use the search thing if your intrested, and come on IRC if you got small questions, thats what I always do. If i made a post everytime i wanted something answered I'm sure korn would have chopped my hands, feet, nose and n*b by now Very Happy.

Your posting is not a bad thing per se,
You just seem to ask a lot of extremely unintersting things. No problem with /that/ on its own because you obviously need to know about bikes. But posting about wether you think your girlfriend should have lost so much weight in the last week or something is stretching the remit of general chat IMVHO.

Also, if you have something interesting to say, and I mean genuinely interesting then it might be better to make some of your posts a tadette longer?

For example in this thread you could easily have gone into why you think that Queen are the best band ever etc etc.

I really think that the watchword for you for this forum is quality and not quantity.

Oh and if you have more bike related questions, try to keep them in one thread rather than creating a new thread for each question.

Now, my suggestions are by no means gospel, and you are quite welcome to ignore them all if you wish, after all I am just one member but try to keep them in mind. Don't take offense, we all need guidance from time to time, and as far as taking things to heart too much, you just have to think to yourself what does not kill us only makes us stronger.
Smile
Capisce? Cool

/me hauls thread back on topic.

The best band ever is quite obviously Iron Maiden, and any band with less than two guitars really isn't worth mentioning. Iron maiden not only have one of the fastest and most fluent drummers never to use a double kick pedal, but they have IMO one of the best bass players in the world, at least two world class guitarists (Smith and Murray) and certainly the most distinctive and operatic voice ever to hit rock music, Bruce Dickinson.

Their music is different and to me, still sounds as fresh today as it must have done in the early 80's when they were at their peak. They don't sing about the usuall love/heartbreak/betrayal etc that most music seems to be obsessed with.

In short, they rock ass! Cool

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Old Thread Alert!

The last post was made 20 years ago. Instead of replying here, would creating a new thread be more useful?
