Bike tax disc holders are going to very cheap now. Buy a few dozen of them and distribute generously.

I've been looking at the Leatherman Skeletool CX desirously of late. Suitably minimalist multitool, carbon fibre scales, nice knife blade. Distinctly over priced, though Sad

Just bought my 18 month old Neice the loudest whistle money can buy.

I am sure her parents will appreciate the thought that has gone into this.

I have one of these, which is pretty cool.

https://littleknive.com/images/photos/iscsi_01.jpg

Sits in the card section of my wallet and goes completely undetected in to clubs or anywhere else with metal detectors/searches, with probably the exception of an airport. I didn't fancy trying my luck when flying to the US.

Looks mean as fuck. What's the blade like? and is the metal detectors test website blag or for real? I can't imagine any basis in reality for a good carbon steel blade.

Xmas presents. I just want to chill out and do fuck all. A few pints of Guinness and some decent whisky and warmth will be bliss.

Consumer toys aren't that big a deal

Fairly sharp. It's not going to compare to an expensive blade or be useful against something too strong (due to the plastic body), but not a bad thing to carry in your wallet for the occasion that you may need it.

I've used it a couple of times for general tasks, such as opening packages, electrical bodges at the side of the road, etc.

The last time I went in to a club with a metal detector, the alarm got set off (but I had plenty of metal items on me) and I got patted down, as did most other people, but who checks in your wallet for a knife? It made me laugh as they unknowingly let me walk in with a weapon, after patting me down. Not that it matters as I'm really not the kind of person to use it against someone.

+1, Handy bit of kit, especially if I've just grabbed my keys and wallet and left the Leatherman behind.
