Hi all

I mad the STUPID mistake of insuring my bike on 3rd party only... low and behold, it got nicked!

I am well aware how much of an idiot i am, but now i need some help to try and find the most impossible part to source.

I have a honda CG 125 2007, the Bracket that attatches the footpeg/gearlever to the frame has been snapped in half.
You would of thought it would be difficult to find, but im having trouble.

Can anyone on here please help?

Thanks

If you can't get the from e-bay, then you can get a new one from:

Umm.

Have a closer look. As far as I know the gear lever is attached directly to the gearbox selector shaft and the footpeg is one long bar going right across the bike and bolted to the underside of the engine.

If something appearing to be a bracket holding those two parts on has broken, you may have more significant problems such as a huge lump being broken off your engine.

Stinkwheel, this is not the case, i have taken the remainds of the bracket off and it was bolted onto the frame through a thread.

I can take a pic if you want.

Be interesting because any recent CG125 I've seen uses the engine as a stressed frame member. The frame doesn't extend underneath the engine, it attaches to the front and back. The gear lever attaches directly to the gearbox.

It might be wise to stick some pics on of the bracket and where it came off.

I'm of the same opinion as Stinkwheel. The gear lever should only be connected to gearshift spindle.
